After doing this experiment I have discovered that winging it with soft shadows does not pay off. Filching a screenshot as a background and using as your color palate, though? Yep. That's a good cheat.

Seriously great work. She has a strong intensity in her eyes, and it has crisp imagery. It would be nice to see more depth to her face(though I'm hardly an artist expert, so no idea how that would work and what it would entail).
